"Global Fusion: Exploring the Dynamic Impact of Cultural Globalization on Identity, Art and Society".
Globalization
Culture & Organization Driving
Understanding the culture of the organization helps in hiring
the right employees, especially when expanding the team. Sometimes executive
coaching and business coaching are needed to help management assess and
understand the importance of company culture.
What is Organization culture?
In its basic sense, culture reflects the collective
personality of employees.
·
It
includes how they think, act and react.
·
It
also includes norms that guide behavior within the company.
·
Culture
represents the collective preferences, habits and characteristics of employees.
How do management and staff know the culture
Often, a company's culture is often communicated in a mission
or vision statement.
·
Positive
behaviors involving engagement and commitment lead to success.
·
Counterproductive
behaviors such as conflict avoidance, limited risk taking, and inconsistent
motives lead to frustration and reduced results.
The challenge is identifying what the culture actually is, and
business coaching helps with that. This is particularly evident in
multinational companies. Managing different races, different religions,
cultures, different ideas, different styles, behaviors, ways of working etc. is
a very challenging and wide scope. For this, the human resources department
should take everyone on the same subject very carefully. It is the biggest
challenge for an HR manager with globalization.
Consider six categories to assess your company culture.
·
Performance
·
decision
making
·
the
atmosphere
·
Group
access
·
structure
· Communication style (Robin, 2023).
Ø Let’s go two examples:
The best example of cultural globalization is the McDonald's
chain. But let's move beyond the usual to two other examples.
01.Consider a comparative written summary comparing the
classroom culture and climate of two schools.
Let's choose to compare The Learning Curve International
School (TLC), a boarding school, with the culture and climate shared by
Royston Matthias of Oberoi International School (OIS). The reason for
taking OIS and TLC is because both schools have a similar cultural background.
OIS has standardized many processes, including leadership
teams, staff training, and guidelines and procedures for various behavioral and
educational roadblocks. This especially helps teachers and students so that
everyone is aware of the rules and consequences to ensure a safe environment
for all. In defining the culture of OIS, it states, “Parents believe that the
school management treats its staff and students like family.” as the
social-emotional learning spectrum is also prominent in OIS.
TLC is a fairly new school that has changed administration a
few times and is still finding its footing. The expectations and rules in their
first student handbook are still being worked out and there is more room for
change. Service projects and creative ideas are one step in the right
direction. It is also necessary to incorporate ideas into everyday thinking and
be aware of global issues of human rights, sustainability, etc.
This is also something that TLC should address. I believe
that one of the ideas that can be useful in creating a more cohesive
educational community is to increase accurate communication with parents.
Parents don't like messages from school. However, recording feedback and
organizing parent-teacher liaisons will certainly help further the cause. TLC
has not yet acclimated students to keep up with globalization.
Next one is very interesting…
Imagine International Buffet,
An international buffet is a collection of attractive and
delicious dishes with recipes to suit any country and nation of the world.
Not all people in the world like the same food. Their diet
varies from country to country and nation to nation. Moreover, it varies on the
basis of religion and culture. Recipes used by some nations are not used at all
by some nations.
This is why you can see all these types of food in an
international buffet. Foods suitable for anyone can be found here.
